A list of Cyberscribes' Favorite Ink

Walnut ink - the crystals that you can buy from Brenda at Paper and Ink. When I want ink for color, I use Ziller. Makes me happy 9 times out of 10

______________

Ziller inks, having resisted them for so long as I didn't like the idea of my nibs being clogged up by waterproof ink. But they're so easy to clean, and the ink writes like a dream, and the colours are great!

Lesley, England

______________

I like sumi a lot. Vermillion works better than black but is not as versatile.

Sharon Kennedy

______________

Favorite "Inks": I love the Schminke gold and silver watercolor pans, and the Schminke (I love to say that name) Calligraphy Gouache in gold pearl. And just got some Turner Design gold orange from Paper and Ink. Gorgeous goldy orange with color variations like silk fabric. As to a black, I like the Best Bottle Ink. For white, Dr. Martin's Bleed Proof white is fantastic on colored papers and flows well through broad edged or pointy nibs.

Nancy Grossenbacher, Portland

Sumi ink named Best Ink in the brown bottle.

Ruth Stern Warzecha, Toronto

______________

Inks etc: I like the walnut ink that Brenda sells, but most of all I love all the Spectralite airbrush colors. When spectralite doesn't have the color I'm looking for, I'll turn to the old reliable WN gouache. I also love the Pearl-X pigments, especially on dark paper.

Donna Whitman, Vermont

Japanese Sumi ink - usually from an Asian supply store I find when travelling. NOT the stuff in the green bottle! For fine work I use Chinese stick ink.
